Session Description
Early reading is an essential skill that provides children with a head start in all areas of their learning development. Reading ignites creativity, sparks curiosity, and fires up their imaginations, and by nurturing this skill, children create a solid foundation in which they can build on for the rest of their life. Children that begin their ready journey at an early age benefit from having greater general knowledge, a wider range of vocabulary and improved listening and concentration skills.

At Purposeful Play, we recognise the huge impact that early reading has on young children and have specifically created our StoryTeller classes to develop communication, language and literacy skills through stories, rhymes, singing and a whole host of interactive activities. Each class begins with a new story, following the theme of the term, followed by a number of fun, purposeful activities that strengthen and support the early reading development of each child at their own pace.
